Next stop was supposedly El Salvador’s best kept secret, a coffee farm and camp ground close to the Routa de Flores in picturesque Western El Salvador. Unfortunately, it remained El Salvador’s best kept secret after 8 hours of driving up and down bumpy 4X4 tracks and dirt roads with holes so big they nearly swallowed the van. After much swearing, engine revving and a dint in the front of the car, we gave up on our mission, and slept in the town square.
